Our persistent and insistent Sis Vivian found a big boulder at the site she is digging... the boulder refused to burge and so did our Sis Vivian... We will see what's next....

We were grateful to be able to serve the Mother Earth. We would like to thank Bro Tan suei for the arrangements. We really had a hard but good time. Very satisfying and fulfilling time, though real exhausted...

Bro See commented that everybody worked whole-heartedly for the course..no snakey snake though we occassionally heard shouts like 'wei, young man', 'young man, come here'(.....ha..ha..ha.. )

Our especially young men Cheah and Teh and their wives did very good job...too...and Sis Irene dug 7 holes...Sis Yit Ling, Vivian and Hee Lin are real 'make to it' planters.

Sis LG and Bro Wan Jin....Bro Bon Lian, Baik...& son... Jia Hui and his little son,.Xiao Chui has strength...commented by Mei Zhi.... I should say everyone ..lah ....

Unfortunately, our Bro Tan Bon Lian twisted his ankle; but fortunately we have Sis Vivian performing cosmic energy healing on him. He was able to drive home later.

We were given a good meal and bottles of good fresh juices...yummy.... by the temple authority. We then had a visit/tour around the templea and went home....

Just let us know when to go again lah...

SEPUTIH BU TREE PLANTING CUM FAMILY DAY ON JUNE 20, 2010

INTRODUCTION
Seputih Bhajan Unit organized a Tree planting cum Family Day on June 20 2010. Over 40 members participated in the event. Most of the members came with family members (spouse and children).

LOCATION
The site of the event was at the Buddhist Temple at Sg Choh, a few miles north of Rawang. The Temple has just built 2 new buildings and a new road about 500 meters long within the temple area was also ready for use.

TREE PLANTING
Seedlings – A few members had started raising 2 varieties of ornamental palm trees - Fox Tail and Manila Palm seedlings from seeds since 20 months ago. We have no idea of where to plant the seedlings until about early June when we discussed with a member of the Temple about tree planting. It was then realized that the Temple needed trees to be planted along the road side and also on the sides of the car-park and open space.

Preparation work started immediately in early June by a few members in getting the area to be ready, buying tools and fertilizer. Markings with sticks for planting holes were done as well.

Early on June 20, more than 40 members gathered at the Temple around 8.30am for a briefing on what were the trees to be planted and how to plant them. A lorry with about 180 tree seedlings was delivered to the temple site. The morning was nice but getting hot after 10 am. The ground was hard and difficult to dig. The team worked very hard and by about 11.30 am, about 110 trees were planted. The remaining trees were planted by some workers a couple of days later.

The Team had lunch at the temple and after a tour of the area for those who were new to the place, all went back very tired but satisfied!

FEEDBACK
Many have commented that it was a meaningful day where we did something for the environment! Some have asked when to come back to tender to the plant to make sure that they grow properly. A date will be fixed in July for members to go again for ‘maintenance’ work – weeding, ground leveling, watering, removing of stones, etc.
